“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.'”
(Matthew 22: 37–39 NIV)
Send someone a message to let them know you’re thinking of them.
Offer to babysit for a couple who don’t manage to get out much. Tell them to be as late back as they like!
Casually ask the person you have in mind what their idea of a special day would be, then do your best to create it for them – even if it’s not your thing
What did I do?
Blimey this is a tough one.
Today’s verse are my absolute favourite Bible verses. I continually say that if everyone loved their neighbour as themselves the world will be a much better place. As Gandhi said – be the change you want to see in the world.
How on earth was I going to achieve this? I really wanted to do the red option but with an impending, somewhat stressful, move it looks impossible. Green option today then. It’s the anniversary of a relative’s death – sending messages to family saying that I am thinking of them will both fulfil this task and comfort the bereaved a little. Small task but thoughtful and impactful.
Oh my gosh! Gosh gosh gosh! I am receipt of a Spa voucher at a hotel. A friend who thinks I need a break and a rest from all the moving stress is sending me for a treat tomorrow! 2 hours of calm relaxation and spa treatments sounds absolutely fabulous. I can’t wait. This is so awesome!
