Where
Gardens by the Bay
When
December 2018 from 4pm till Midnight (I think we left early due to torrential rain).
We went on Saturday 15th and got there around 6pm at dusk. (Yes this is a somewhat delayed blogpost!).
Cost
$3 entrance and then whatever is purchased thereafter.
What’s on?
Skating rink (plastic), magic show, stall and crafts, food and drink, Santa’s grotto, fairground rides and stalls, choir in the bandstand, picnic area, light mirror maze and light show.
The Mirror maze wasn’t so much as a maze as a circle to walk around but it did look impressive with all the lights. We had a couple of goes on the carnival stalls (didn’t win anything!), had a drink and listened to the choir. The food stalls had a good selection which was cooked fresh. We also made a couple of purchases in the craft stalls – wooden houses like those at German Christmas Markets.
The Supertree light and music display was a sweet melody of Christmas music which wowed the crowds.
The Christmas lights were good and there were plenty of people sat in the picnic area soaking up the atmosphere. Santa’s Sleigh (road train) ferried families from one part of the Wonderland to others, creating a Merry atmosphere.
It was a great happy atmosphere with everyone having a good time. Put in your diaries for next year.
